The Vietnam Macadamia Association (VMA) has worked with large businesses in Dubai to organize trade promotion activities and promote the export of Vietnamese macadamia products to the Middle East market.
This is the first activity in the working trip of the VMA delegation led by Mr. Huynh Ngoc Huy, Vice President and General Secretary of the VMA, who is attending the launching ceremony of the VMA to World Macadamia Association (WMO) and attend the 39th International Nut and Dried Fruit Conference (INC World) taking place from 10 to 13 May in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Vietnam Macadamia Association is 1/7 members participating in the founding of WMO and participating in activities at the 39th INC World as a member of WMO and INC World.
The 39th INC World is an international event held annually, attracting and gathering more than 1,000 international delegates including experts, suppliers, businesses, customers… in the grain industry. Dried fruits from more than 60 countries around the world.
This event is an opportunity for Vietnam’s macadamia industry to approach and learn from organizations about dried fruit from countries around the world.
INC World has published important information and discussed a wide range of expertise and important issues in many areas of the world’s nut and dried fruit industry.
According to the assessment, dried fruit seeds are a very large economic sector of the world. In which, macadamia nut only accounts for 2% of total dried fruit nut production, but consumption volume is increasing steadily every year.
Among the countries consuming dried fruit seeds, China is a very large consumption market, each year this country spends over 33 billion USD to import dried fruit products.
According to Mr. Huynh Ngoc Huy, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Macadamia Association, right after the launching ceremony, there was the first face-to-face meeting in Dubai. WMO members discussed and reached an agreement to jointly promote trade and promote macadamia worldwide in order to increase the demand for products.
In addition, WMO also develops and applies quality standards for macadamia products worldwide.
