How to Make Your Own Dried Mango (in the oven!)

dried mango making

I spend $10 on a bag of dried mango that is gone in a day. And yes I will still buy it because I’m not making this every single day, but my new thing is to batch cook a lot of mango at once. It is so easy to make and turns out so good in the oven. You don’t need any special equipment – just mango, baking sheet, cooling rack and your oven.

Here’s how to make your own dried mangoes in the oven! No dehydrator needed. This is so easy to make and as someone who is dried mangoes obsessed, this is a game changer to be able to make my own easily! Plus this way you get to control the size of the cheeks you want

What you need to make dried mango in the oven:

  • Mangos (or how ever many you’d like to dry out)
  • Baking sheet
  • Oven-safe cooling rack

How to dry out mango in the oven:

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees
  2. Peel the skin off the mango then gently slice each mango into 1/4 inch pieces longways (cut around the pit!)
  3. Add each slice to a baking sheet topped with an oven-safe cooling rack (this helps cook off any moisture from the mango)
  4. Add to oven and bake for about 5 hours (flipping each piece over every hour)
  5. Remove from heat and let the mango cool then enjoy
